About the Author
Celeste Ng was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in 1980. She is a graduate of Harvard University and the Iowa Writers’ Workshop.
Ng currently lives in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, with her husband and two children. Everything I Never Told You was a finalist for the 2015 National Book Award and won the Massachusetts Book Award in Fiction. Ng’s second novel, Little Fires Everywhere, was published in 2017. The novel tells the story of two families living in a small town in Ohio.
In an interview, Ng has said that she is interested in writing about “families and secrets, and the things that get passed down through generations.”
Ng’s novels have been translated into several different languages. Her work has been published in The New York Times, The Washington Post, and Oprah Magazine.
