About the Author
Dave Canterbury is an American author, survival instructor, and television personality. He is best known for his work on the Discovery Channel show Dual Survival.
Canterbury was born in Belleville, Michigan, and raised in Ohio. He served 10 years in the United States Army as a Special Forces Green Beret Medic and Engineer. After his time in the Army, he became a professional outdoorsman, tracker, and survival instructor. He has taught classes on wilderness survival and bushcraft for more than 15 years.
Canterbury is the author of several books on survival, including Bushcraft 101: A Field Guide to the Art of Wilderness Survival and The Advanced Bushcraft: An Expert Field Guide to the Art of Wilderness Survival. He has also appeared on numerous television shows, including Man, Woman, Wild and Fat Guys in the Woods.
