Brené Brown (born November 18, 1965) is an American scholar, author, and public speaker. She is a research professor at the University of Houston Graduate College of Social Work. Her 2010 book, The Gifts of Imperfection, and her 2012 book, Daring Greatly, were both New York Times bestsellers. In 2018, she released her fifth book, Braving the Wilderness.
