About the Author
Dr. Seuss was the pen name of Theodor Seuss Geisel, who was born on March 2, 1904, in Springfield, Massachusetts. He began his career as an advertising illustrator and cartoonist for Life and Vanity Fair magazines. In 1927, he published his first children’s book, And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street.
