About the Author

Andrew Joyner is an Australian author and illustrator of children’s books. He was born in Melbourne, Australia in 1965. He studied at the Victorian College of the Arts and then worked as a graphic designer before turning to illustration full-time.

Wonder

Joyner’s first book, Toby, was published in 2002. His other books include The Cat Who Wore a Pot on Her Head, The Terrible Plop, and Boris. Wonder Book is his most popular book to date.

When he’s not busy writing and illustrating books, Joyner enjoys gardening, playing the violin, and spending time with his wife and two daughters.

In an interview, Joyner said of Wonder Book, “I wanted to write a book that would make kids laugh and also be a bit scary in places. I also wanted to write a book that adults would enjoy reading aloud to their kids.”
