A group of kids, who refer to themselves as “The Losers’ Club,” are playing in the park when they are attacked by a creature that takes the form of a clown. The clown, who goes by the name of Pennywise, tries to lure one of the children, Georgie Denbrough, into the sewer. Georgie is able to get away, but Pennywise grabs his arm and rips it off.
The Losers’ Club is able to fight off Pennywise and they make a pact to stick together and kill the creature if it ever comes back.
30 years later, the creature does return and begins terrorizing the town once again. The Losers’ Club, now adults, are forced to confront their fears and battle Pennywise one last time.
The novel is a masterful blend of horror and suspense that will keep readers hooked from beginning to end. It is a classic story of good vs. evil that is sure to send chills down your spine.
