Kristin Hannah is an American author who writes historical fiction and romance novels. She is best known for her novel The Nightingale, which was a New York Times bestseller and has been translated into 37 languages.

The Nightingale

Hannah was born in Southern California and grew up in the small town of Oxford, Washington. She graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in history. After working as a lawyer and a journalist, she began writing novels in the early 1990s.

Hannah’s first novel, On Mystic Lake, was published in 1993 and became a bestseller. She has since published 23 more novels, including The Homeplace, True Colors, Firefly Lane, and Winter Garden.
