About the Author
James Frey is an American author and entrepreneur, best known for his books in the “Lorien Legacies” series, of which The Rise of Nine is the third book. He was born on September 12, 1969, in Cleveland, Ohio, and grew up in Cleveland and Miami, Florida.
Frey began writing in his early 20s and his first book, A Million Little Pieces, was published in 2003. The book was a memoir about his experiences with addiction and recovery, and was a bestseller.
