Hussain Zaidi is an Indian writer and investigative journalist. He is the author of several books on organized crime and terrorism in India, including Dongri to Dubai: Six Decades of the Mumbai Mafia, My Days with Baquer & Other Stories, Black Friday: The True Story of the Bombay Bomb Blasts, Faces of Terror: Encounters with India’s Deadliest Terrorists and Mumbai Avengers.
Hussain was born in Mumbai in 1957. He graduated from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai with a degree in Economics and Sociology. He then went on to pursue a career in journalism, and has worked with several publications, including The Times of India, Sunday Observer, Indian Post and Mid-Day.
Hussain has won several awards for his work, including the Mumbai Press Club Award (1993) and the National Award for Investigative Journalism (2000). Dongri to Dubai is Hussain’s first book. It was published in 2010 and has been translated into multiple languages.
