About the Author
Bucksam Kong, the author of Hung Gar Kung-Fu: The Chinese Art of Self-Defense, is a martial artist and teacher with over 50 years of experience in various martial arts styles. He was born in Korea in 1940 and began training in martial arts at a young age.
Kong’s interest in Chinese martial arts began in the 1960s when he started studying under Grandmaster Wong Ark Yuey, a well-known practitioner of Hung Gar Kung-Fu. Kong went on to become one of Wong’s top students and was later authorized to teach Hung Gar Kung-Fu by the grandmaster himself.
