About the Author
David C. Funder is a professor of psychology at the University of California, Riverside. He has been studying personality and individual differences for more than 30 years. His research focuses on understanding how people differ in their abilities to regulate emotions, form relationships, think abstractly, and make decisions.
Funder is the author or co-author of several books including Personality: A Very Short Introduction, Personality: What Makes You the Way You Are, and The Personality Puzzle. He has published more than 200 articles in professional journals and his research has been featured on PBS NOVA, the Discovery Channel, the BBC World Service, and National Public Radio.
Funder is an elected fellow of five scientific societies including the American Psychological Association and the Association for Psychological Science. He has given keynote talks at several international conferences including a plenary address at the 2009 European Conference on Personality.
