The Woman in the Window Summary
The novel follows Anna Fox, an agoraphobic child psychologist who believes she witnessed a crime in the home of her new neighbors across the street.
Anna Fox lives alone—a recluse in her New York City home, unable to venture outside. She spends her day drinking wine (maybe too much), watching old movies, recalling happier times, and spying on her neighbors. Then the Russells move into the house opposite, and life as she knows it changes forever.
At first, Anna observes the lives of the family next door through their windows. But one evening, she sees something no one was meant to see. Now she must do everything she can to uncover the truth about what happened.
In the end, Anna has to confront her own dark secrets if she wants to find the answers she’s looking for.
