Room book was written by Irish author Emma Donoghue. She was born in Dublin in 1969. Emma is the youngest of eight children.
She was educated at Trinity College, Dublin, and University College, Dublin. Emma has lived in Canada since 1998. She is married to Denis Donoghue and they have two children.
Emma’s first novel, Kissing the Witch, was published in 1996. Her second novel, Slammerkin, was published in 2000. Room was published in 2010 and was an instant bestseller. It has been translated into over 30 different languages and has sold over two million copies worldwide.
