Bryan Mealer and William Kamkwamba are the authors of The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind. Bryan Mealer is an American author and journalist, best known for his books about Africa. He has been published in numerous magazines and newspapers, including The New York Times, Harper’s Magazine, Texas Monthly, Outside Magazine, Men’s Journal, GQ, and many others.
Mealer is a recipient of the 2010 National Magazine Award for Reporting and has been a finalist for the Pushcart Prize. He is also a five-time winner of the Texas Institute of Letters Awards, most recently in 2012.
