The Maze Runner Summary
The story begins with a boy named Thomas who wakes up in a metal box with no memories of his past. He soon discovers that he’s been sent to a place called the Glade, which is an enclosure in the middle of a gigantic maze. The Glade is inhabited by other boys, all of whom have also lost their memories.
Together, they must find a way to escape the maze before the deadly creatures that live inside it, called the Grievers, get them.
As Thomas tries to solve the mystery of the Glade, he starts to piece together his own past and discovers that he may be more connected to the maze than he could have ever imagined.
In the end, Thomas and his friends make a daring escape from the maze, but not before losing some of their own. Outside of the maze, they discover an even more startling truth: the world they thought they knew was completely different than what they had been led to believe.
