About the Author

Madeline Miller was born in Boston, Massachusetts, and grew up in New York City and Philadelphia. She received her BA from Vassar College and her MA and Ph.D. from Brown University. Her first novel, The Song of Achilles, won the Orange Prize for Fiction, the Walter Scott Prize for Historical Fiction, the Green Carnation Prize, and was a New York Times Bestseller, among other honors.
