A Dance with Dragons PDF is the fifth of George R. R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire series of fantasy novels. It was first published on July 12, 2011, in the United Kingdom, with a United States edition following on August 9, 2011. Unlike the preceding four books in the series, which were originally released in hardcover, A Dance with Dragons was published in both hardcover and paperback editions.

The book sold more than two million copies in the first month after its release and had a first printing of 2.5 million copies. It received generally positive reviews from critics, although some reviewers noted that it did not live up to the expectations set by the preceding books in the series.

A Dance with Dragons is set in the fictional world of Westeros and follows the story of several characters, including Daenerys Targaryen, Jon Snow, Tyrion Lannister, and Bran Stark. The book picks up the story immediately after the events of the previous book, A Feast for Crows, and deals with the aftermath of the War of the Five Kings.

A Dance with Dragons was nominated for the Hugo Award for Best Novel in 2012, and won the Locus Award for Best Fantasy Novel.

A Dance with Dragons Summary

The story begins with Victarion Greyjoy, Lord Captain of the Iron Fleet, sailing to Meereen to marry Daenerys Targaryen and bring her back to the Iron Islands. On the way, his fleet is attacked by a dragon, which kills many of his men. Victarion’s ships are forced to land at Meereen, where he is met by Daenerys’ envoy, Tyrion Lannister. Tyrion convinces Victarion to lead the Iron Fleet in an attack on Volantis, one of the Free Cities, in order to draw Daenerys out of Meereen.

In Meereen, Daenerys is struggling to maintain control of the city in the face of a rebellion. She receives news that her dragons have been killing people, and she decides to lock them up. This enrages her remaining dragon, Drogon, who flies away. Daenerys goes after him and is saved from certain death by some nomadic Dothraki. They take her back to their camp, where she is made a slave.

In the end, Daenerys is pregnant with Drogo’s child, and she is starting to learn the Dothraki language. Victarion’s fleet arrives at Volantis, and he begins his attack. Tyrion is captured by the Volantene forces, but he is rescued by a stranger who turns out to be Jorah Mormont.
