The Raven Boys Summary
The book is about four boys at a prestigious boarding school in Virginia who are looking for a lost king. The leader of the group, Gansey, is determined to find the ancient Welsh king who is said to be buried in their town. The other three boys, Ronan, Noah, and Adam, are all from very different backgrounds, but they all have their own reasons for wanting to find the king.
The story starts with Blue Sargent, a girl who can see ghosts. She lives with her mom and aunts, all of whom are psychic. Blue herself isn’t psychic, but she absorbs the power of spirits around her. One day, she sees a ghost boy who she’s never seen before. He tells her that he is looking for something, but she can’t quite understand what he’s saying.
A few days later, Blue meets the Raven Boys at her school. They are a group of boys from an elite boarding school who are looking for the lost king. Blue is immediately drawn to Gansey, the leader of the group. She can’t explain it, but she feels like she needs to help him find the king.
The Raven Boys end up finding a clue that leads them to an old church in the middle of the woods. Blue comes with them, even though she’s not supposed to. When they get to the church, they find a secret passage that leads to a hidden underground chamber.
